Hi

Im sorta new to this Sniper and ebay stuff, I have no problems with auction sniper i think its fantastic.
I wish to ask a question about a recent winning bid of mine, i would like some guidance from some who may have more experience than myself.
I decided to write here, as this forum seems a lot more friendier than the one at ebay.

I was fortunate enough to recently be succesful on an item at ebay. Winning item(hope its ok to put that here)
1)I have just recently noticed that this seller has never sold anything on ebay before.(no rating)
2)I also now notice that the seller appears to be 'not a registered user'.
I have sent 2 emails to the seller but haven't recieved any replies as such yet regarding payment method etc.
The amount in question is a lot for me, (probably not for Bill gates, but i aint him).
Based on 1) and 2) i have alarm bells ringing regarding this item.
Im unsure if i should pull out of this purchase (if the seller ever contacts me), surely a bad rating is better than a lot of money down the drain.

I would love some opinions from any experts here please.

Thanks heaps

Alan

This one stinks to high heaven, Ale-beer.

IF the item is a genuine original (doubtful), and IF the seller is genuine (equally doubtful) I'm sure they'll contact you. But I'll bet they don't.

If he/she is unregistered, they won't be able to affect your rating, if that's what you're worried about.

Walk away and save your money is my advice.

Thanks Gardengnome and jakedduck for your replies.

Im saving my money on this one. Mark this as learning the free way rather than the expensive way.

Regardless of whether or not the seller replies, which n doubt they wont, I wont be proceding with the purchase.

Whilst not obvious to me to begin with, its clear now than when dealing with a reasonable sum of money to make sure the seller has some history/feedback.

Thanks again guys, your replies made me see this clearer.

I think you made a wise decision Ale.

You may have already noticed but sometimes buyers leave positive feedback even though the item was inferior. If you read the comments you can easily tell they wanted to leave a negative but were afraid of receiving a retaliatory negative from the seller.
