Hi,

I'm watching a few items right now, and I have them all in AuctionSniper, under the assumption that I'll forget when they're ending. If I place a bid before they end... say 5 minutes or less, and I am the high bidder, will I be charged by auctionsniper, even if my proxy bid is higher than any other person's bid before AuctionSniper came into play... in other words, I didn't need AuctionSniper this time... do I still pay because it upped my proxy bid?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Yes, the reason being that all snipes in our system take resources. We have computers updating bids, sending reminder emails, and doing the snipe on that item.

When eBay is slow it could be your snipe that isnt really needed that jams up someone elses snipe and causes them to miss their snipe. etc. Although that's pretty unlikely it's an example of how resources used on your snipe that isnt really a snipe might afftect others.

We're currently considering adding a watch feature. Nothing formally planned, but under consideration.
