Dear all,

I'm a registered eBay user from Vietnam and I would like to try to use AS for sniping the first time. However, after reading some posts about eBay account might be locked if logged in from different IP, I'm concerned whether my account might be locked if AS placed my bid from an US IP address while I always log into my account using Vietnamese IP address.
Could you please kindly advice me on this ? Should I be concerned or that will not likely to happen ?

I'm pretty new to eBay and sniping so I really appreciate your kind support.

Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Dreamer

Hi guys,

I'm happy to win my first eBay item using AS. It's fast and convenient. I set lead time of 6s and the bid came in at 7s.I will sure use it frequently.

Also, I have two questions:

1. Is it risky to set lead time of 3s or should I go with 5s or 6s in stead ?

2. Should I expect seller to give me feedback after I paid them or after I leave them feedback ?

Thanks,
Dreamer

No. AS allows it, and I haven’t seen any complaints about not-in-times for a VERY long time. If anything, since AS “adjusts” the lead time based on ebay’s current response time, it may go in earlier, as you experienced with your first snipe. Someone might post that they use something else (like 5 or 8), but they are only telling you their personal preference, and nothing scientific. If you like 3, then go with 3. I suspect 3 is a fairly popular setting.

In a perfect world, without misunderstandings, yes. But, sellers are concerned about getting bad feedback, so if you want it, it might be better to give it first.
Thank you Rick, you are so helpful. I put 3 seconds for 1 snipe during a busy time (sunday afternoon) and AS adjusted to place the snipe at 6s, which is fine for me. So with AS, I do not need to worry that my snipe arrives late. So far I won all three free snipes and will be glad to continue using this reliable service.

Also, do you happen to know if there is any custom number or tracking number available if I choose to ship using Prioirty Mail International Flat Rate ?
Does the seller suppose to tell me that they shipped the item or do I have to ask whether they shipped it?

Thanks,
Dreamer

That's why Google was invented.

A good one does.

You won't be breaking any ebay rules if you do. All depends on how patient you are.
