Will AuctionSniper pay less than my max bid, like eBay?

"Will AS check and only pay as much as it takes to win the item, or if the current bid is $50, and my max bid is $250, will AS automatically bid the full $250?" - AS will only place one bid for your snipe, and that will be the full $250. What your top bid will actually be will be dependent on other bid amounts and ebay increments.

You see, AS has no way of knowing what the high bid price actually is. In your example you say it's $50. But it could be, and probably is, much higher. So for AS to start hacking away at the $50 until it reached your $250 might take awhile. Also, it might get over the current high bid, but some other bidder comes in and places yet another bid.

So you have one shot. Make it your best.

And if you're sniping an auction tonight, give it extra time. Sunday's are prime time on ebay and response time can be slower. Best to use 15 to 25 seconds lead time.
