why won't my snipes refresh properly when i add snipes?

The site drives me nuts! It is incredibly slow and when i add snipes they take forever to show up in my snipes list, groups whatever. They show up almost immediately using the non java link but then i can't manage them. I hit the refresh on the browser but it doesn't do a real refresh the newly added snips don't show. help, help, help!!!
Also have installed your sniper browser, it did all the downloads, installed etc but when i click on the launch icon it searches for auction sniper and can't find it, grrrhhhh!
am running windows 2000 behind a firewall, internet through a proxy server.
