Hiya there puretoby3,

Do you mean "your item" as in, an item you are bidding on? or an item you are selling?

One of the main reasons to *snipe* is to ensure that you dont show your *hand* in the bidding wars.

Even if you do know another sniper is sniping...what difference would it make? The key to sniping is to bid your Maximum and leave it at that.

I am also tipping there would be privacy issues if AS was leaking to other AS members who was bidding on what Wink

I am curious though....Why do you think it would improve the service?
I have though about this often .......

Let us say for example I create a snipe in AS for an Ebay item and another AS user already has a higher snipe created for that item.

Then AS flags my snipe list with a message (a bit like the one that occurs when the current bid exceeds my snipe) saying "Another AS member has a higher snipe on this item".

Whether it flags to the other member that AS now has a second lower snipe on its books is a secondary issue.

So I revise my snipe and raise it. And the other sniper gets and alert - "AS is now carrying a higher snipe on items 1234567890".

And he/she revises his/her snipe.

Sound familiar ?

And I go into business with AuctionSniperSniper.

My super service will place your snipe in AS for you as close to the AS 5 minute deadline as I can to prevent another sniper placing a higher snipe on the same item. All for only .25 or 1% of the snipe value.

Let the good times roll $ $ $ $ .
