Why not the option of two snipes on an item?

I meant two differnt bids at two different times. There are items I do that on using (ahem) auctionsniper for the second bid and.. (ahem) esnipe for the first, just in case because I REALLY want that particular item.

LOL I am sure you are allowed to do whatever you like and are willing to pay for. Whether Sara will let that reference to the other site stay in your post is another question.

There is a product out there that will resnipe if the first snipe is either outbid or proxy outbid. It can give one a second chance. It operates from the users computer, not a website and has an automatic feature to synchronize the users computerclock to eBay 5 minutes before the auction ends. It sounded good to me so I tried it but had limited success because my system clock loses time quickly so basically have to watch the auction anyway. The second problem is my slower connection (slow DSL) impedes sure bidding. SO I AM REALLY GLAD I FOUND AUCTION SNIPER and it was easy to make my sole snipe the highest I will go.

It is, but if the snipes have the same amount, ebay will only allow one to be placed - but that's what you want anyway.

AS will bill you for the snipe, whether they placed it or not. I don't know what the policy is with the other service.

That approach has been mentioned a few times on this forum, but I don't "think" many AS snipers do it.

I think she left the reference up to the other snipe program because it does NOT in any way compare to the functionality and options AS offers. I have some bidpoints to use there, that's the ONLY reason I continue to use it. I am a total AS fan now! It's Best of the Best in my book!

Larry, that other product sounds like TOO MUCH WORK. My computer clock also loses time too quickly.

I wonder if we'll ever see PC makers offering PCs with the computer clock synchronized radio signal with the U.S. Atomic Clock in Boulder..of course that might raise the price of PCs a bit!

...a search on "free atomic clock nist software" and got over 4000 hits!?! I was looking for the government's version, but don't think I've found it yet. Does anybody else know a good synchronizing program?

I run windows XP and it automatically updates once a week or manually any time I want. Double click the time and then Click 'Internet Time' tab and 'update' at time.nist.gov

You can always use Official Ebay Time (US) to get what eBay thinks is the current time.
