Why "#bids - 0 " when there are some?

Hi, I've only been doing AS for about 2 months, but LOVE it!! I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or what, but...when I import a watched item, it comes in with # bids = 0, even when there are bids on the item. It's only after I do a refresh, that the true number of bids shows.

Also, must say I've enjoyed lurking among the forum pages for the past couple months. I feel like I know many of you!!

AS has made the timer count down which gives the impression that the items on the My Snipes are 'live'. This is not so. The time is the only thing that changes - the rest is a snapshot in time until you press refresh or Update prices - the latter only working every 5 minutes. Apparently it's too expensive on bandwidth to have it right up-to-date...

I understand all that, but I imported the item on 3/24 - it showed 0 bids on AS, even though 2 bids had been made the day before! Isn't the snapshot supposed to be of the time the item is imported? Or does it go to the beginning of the auction?

It'll be the time the item was imported or last updated by AS / you, whichever is the later. If you've done 'update price' then it should be up-to-date - if it isn't then report the bug via the HELP tab!
