NOTHING has a chance against a higher bid.

Ebay’s automatic proxy bidding system requires that the bidder supplies a maximum bid. This system will increase (using ebay's bid increments) that bidder’s bid amount as other bidder’s bid against that first bidder’s bid, but ebay’s automatic proxy bidding system will not bid higher than the bidder’s maximum bid amount (I get a bonus for every time “bid” appears in this post).

So, use AS as you would if you were placing you own bids thru ebay – he, or she, who bids the most gets the goodies.
