I'm new to AS and so far LOVE it!! I hit the radio button to have them add a banner to my auctions (and I've even listed new things since then) and so far nada. Do I have to have won some snipes first? What's the scoop?

I think AS has disabled that option.
Good thing...You can not put an AS link on your auction page as per eBay TOS.
eBay can and will pull your auctions if you place an AS link there.
Put one on your ME page, eBay does not have any problem with that.

I'm not sure that option has been disabled. Be certain -- unselect it on "Modify Account."

57. I’ve got the sellers box checked for your banner, but it’s not working?
We’ve disabled that. We're no longer recommending the banner link, as eBay has canceled some seller's auctions with the link. It's inconsistently applied, probably because of the sheer number of auctions going, nevertheless some of our customers had their auctions canceled. You can however, create an about ME page for yourself on eBay, and put us there.
