Under my Snipes it shows the auction i have and where it says Item and under it shows the item number, well next to it is a white box that you can check or uncheck..what does this do?

I'm new to this myself, but if you check carefully just a little above the list of items you are snipping, you will see a line (small print) that says:
"Checked items: cancel | move to (you select)"

The little white box just to the left of the eBay number on each item listed for sniping is for either deleting or moving that item -- for example, putting it in a group bid file. The box is also useful for multiple deletions or moving more than one snipe, which is what that little "cancel | move" option relates to. Just check all the boxes you want to take a cancel or move action on and then go to the "cancel | move" option. Just don't try to cancel some and move others all at the same time.
