My goof. I should have known you were much to clever not to see thru my ruse. It definitely makes a statement about the creditability of this thread.

Uh, "collocation" refers to a server that is placed in a remote, networked location. This is typical for web servers, because admins can maintain control over the server while not having to worry about issues such as power and connectivity, which is typically taken care of by the collocation service. So, no, it does not "infer there is an additional location."

I thought there were three servers. I bid in a very competitive area with lots of items ending Sunday nite. Over three years I have lost two bids on Sun. nite due to the snipe clock being arbitrarily moved up due to heavy ebay traffic, giving manual snipers (or other auto snipers) a chance to beat me. I accepted the explanation, but this problem isn't happening just on Sun. nites. So my question is, what happened to the other two servers? I read about Free Snipe Friday, but missed any statement about this situation being OVER. IS IT OVER? Sue
