I bid on an auction and bid for 6591.00 and the guy won it for 6500.00 I wondered what I did wrong in loosing this auction. Never before have I put in commas when bidding in the thousands? So I would like to know what the problem was? It was auction number 2516783275.
Thanks
Suzie

I would like to know why I lost an auction when my high bid was 6591.00 and the winner won it at 6500.00. I wasn't notified of any modification that I needed to make and I have always put my bids in without using any comma's to seperate the numbers when bidding by the thousands? So what was the problem? The auction # was 2516783275

With the price over $5000 the bid increment $100. Since the winning bid of $6500 was place before your snipe was placed, your bid of $6591 was not high enough to be accepted by eBay since it did not meet the next bid increment.

You didn't do anything wrong. Your bid just wan't quite high enough. Better luck next time. Cool
