Just to kick this interesting topic up again - I'm not that much of a collector, but I am a musician and have bought a fair amount of musical gear on eBay. AS is a great way of avoiding bidding wars on common items which might be overpriced otherwise, although a lot of sellers are just setting a Buy It Now price now.
Oddly enough, eBay is also great for items like candles and Chinese tea in bulk.
Hi, what do you play?? And, what kind of music??
Just wondering.
Just wondering.
On the selling side, I have sold motorcycles, boats, campers, trucks, vans, books, clothes, jewelry, and about everything in between!

I sing and play accordion, keyboards and guitar. The music I do ranges from trad Irish folk to rock.
Both of the accordions I play now were bought on eBay, which is a wonderful tool for teaching you just how loosely people define "in excellent condition".
They were inexpensive enough to be good deals, even with the work they really needed, and they're fine instruments now!
Gordo, yep been, done that! I like pictures (blown up) I see that say huge lovely, lot of beads and when I get them they are in a tiny envelope that I paid 5.00 to have shipped!
Did you sell your Harley?!?quote:On the selling side, I have sold motorcycles,....

Had to invoke Google on that one! I was wondering what pop-ups were - tents, toasters?
Now I have learnt something....

I like collecting some pieces of art deco eg hollywood glass perfume bottles, and lamps which have the bronze lady and 1/2 moon of glass behind her.
