Yea, I found this out the hard way, that is that auction sniper places the bid in the currency of the auction, not necessarily us$.

I had to pay $200 more than I had intended because of this with a british pounds conversion.

very sickening,

but I guess it is my fault for not researching it first.

On top of this the guy e-mailed me a false description of the goods, he accidentally e-mailed me a description of another similar much larger, rarer, more expensive auction, so I really got screwed. Maybee I should have refused to pay him.
"Your bid is considered to be in the currency in which the auction is being conducted -- dollars, deutschmarks, pounds, whatever. This is not a function of AS, but rather of eBay." - Steve

"*ALL BIDS* both on eBay and here are in the currency of the auction. Bid accordingly." - Sara B.

Trying searching this forum for "currency" for more.
bobbyj247 - sorry to hear about that. It is the way eBay works. Your bid on eBay itself would have been in pounds as well.

All bids both on AuctionSniper.com and eBay are done in the currency of the auction. We dont do anyways special in other words.

Still real sorry to hear about that. Hope the transaction worked out well for you otherwise though.
