I have recently sold an item to an AS bidder, very soon after the auction I recieved an email from (I thought) the winner but it turned out to be an automated email from Auction Sniper. I was led to believe that the buyer was on the other end awaiting my instruction, not the case, I have sent seven emails in four days trying desperately to get this buyer to contact me....can anyone advise me on what might have gone wrong. My dillema dont stop there, I am away on vacation from Sunday for two weeks, This auction was a last minute which I did in an effort to get a little extra spends but it didn't work out that way. Well, it's too late to get the extra spending money unless you're using PayPal or some sort of instant pay arrangement. I hope you're keeping copies of your efforts to contact this buyer, who sounds like a deadbeat to me. If it were I, I'd send him one more e-mail explaining that I'm going off for two weeks and this is his last chance to honor his winning bid. Then go on vacation and see if he's answered while you were gone. If not, negative feedback time.
Steves suggestions sound good.

There are good and bad buyers and sellers. For the most part AuctionSniper buyers on average I believe are far better than most.

The best course of action is to follow up again, wait, and if you dont get paid files a Non Paying Bidder NPB with eBay. It's easy, you get your fees back, and you can relist. Also once a buyer gets 3 of those they get kicked off eBay. So it's better than a negative. No matter the buyers rating they are gone after 3 of those which is not true with a negative.

Thank you
Lay it down when you feel it is justified! I hate people who do not leave negatives because they are scared of retalitory feedback. That's what the feedback system is for; to tell the truth so that other potential buyers or sellers know what's up Big Grin

If this person negs you back, most people can see through it as a LIE. You can also have ebay remove the retalitory neg if this buyer has the non paying pattern Wink
Mar49, the only other thing I can suggest is something you've probably already done: double check the e-mail address you're using. I don't think it's that, though, because any reputable buyer would have contacted you by now, even if he hadn't gotten your e-mails for some reason. This happened to me once and after two weeks the buyer contacted me saying his computer had crashed and burned. Well, it happens. He paid up like a good 'un and that was that.
Yeah, I did that, like you said already, this person may have been having trouble with the old hardware so best I leave it until I return from my hols, then if I haven't heard from him I'll file a non paying bidder complaint against him....really annoying though. By the way , there was another bidder who was beaten in the last seconds who had bid throughout the auction, I felt kinda sorry for him because he seemed so determined, I have emailed him and offered him the chance to buy the item at his highest bid but I did explain that I have to give the winner the benefit of the doubt and will deal with it in two weeks time..
