First, Welcome to the forum - the others will no doubt do it with fireworks display later!

Auction Sniper will bid whatever you set as your maximum (in this case $150) However, the ebay system will only bid the "extra" necessary amount to win the item. The "extra" amount varies according to the price of the item. In this case. For example in the UK an item between £60 - £150 would need a bid of an extra £2 to win the item. I expect it is a similar amount in $

I hope that helps
I saw this post and thought I'd snick in while you were all abed! No such luck!

Serious question - could we not organise a thread with the "best of the best" of the replies to the standard questions that arise. Then all one has to do is refer newcomers to the relevant answer.

Or is that too clinical? It doesn't mitigate against a friendly welcome, but it would cut down on needless repetition.

What do you all think?

I think it sounds good.....however...what we have found in the past is they don't-won't search and read. I guess when it seems it is coming from your mouth via a one on one, they grasp it better! It would have to be setup and locked, you realize, or it would get quickly buried in other posts. I just don't know, Camera. I understand your reference to repetition, but I am not postitve if there is a true "cure". You could certainly bring it up in My Snipes suggestions and see if it flys.

Places your bid just like you do on eBay - seconds before the auction ends!
on the home page?

Then we would get a tonne of "Why use AS over Ebay?" questions BJ Razz

We have spoken of a similar suggestion before and it didnt fly back then.

Camera - you could just compile a notepad page of the answers you like, then just *quote-copy-paste* them in your reply. Smile
