Way to get Auction Sniper insurance on "Buy it now" items?

I have seen some items posted on ebay that either do not offer insurance and suggest to "purchase your own", and others with very high insurance rates, like $5 for $5-$50 purchases. Of course the insurance is optional.

There is no problem when I can use auctionsniper and purchase insurance through the sniping program, but what about when the item is buy it now? Is there a way to purchase a buy it now item off of ebay with auctionsniper? Or is there a way to apply auctionsniper insurance to other purchases? Or, is there just some other place where I can buy insurance?

I don't THINK you can buy As ins. unless you snipe the item. Actually, I never buy ins. anyway unless the item is very, very expensive.
