i just tried from the 2nd computer in this house. i log into ebay fine i log into auction sniper fine. however my last 2 auctions say i had invalid user/pass and all current auctions in my list say the same as well. have reentered in AS twice already. user/pass is correct! Frown
Never mind them... (it was a private joke)

Not much more to offer, but you might try re-entering password on AS.

I just tried this with my account, and it worked.

AS password can be changed by hitting 'My Snipes' tab.
Click 'Modify Account'
Enter and verify password
Hit Enter Key

If password is incorrect, AS will tell you. If correct it will take you to My Snipes page. Once there, Hit the 'Update Prices' button.

OK now ?

my password in AS is definately the same as my ebay one. i do not know what is going on.

Then you have nothing to worry about.

You lost the 2 items you bid on today becasuse your bids were too low, not beause of an incorrect userId or password.

What exactly is it that made you think your userId or password were incorrect?

Well I used our intenral button for checking to make sure your info is ok on your account and it said: "Ebay Username/Password are valid"

So I'll trust it. Not sure why they say that, you must have already corrected the problem.

Seems like we should erase those warnings once you reenter your correct info. Maybe we already do, you can try resubmitting your correct info in the Modify Account area and see if the warnings go away.

i think i figured the situation out -

auction at 40.00
i place auctionsnipe snipe on it for 100.00 with 5 seconds left.
auction gets bid up to 110.00 10 minutes before auction is over (or whenever).
my bid is now too low.
in auction sniper it still sees old bid of 40.00 because i nor it have updated its knowledge.
auction snipe attempts the snipe.
unable to enter bid - gets the your bid is too low must be at least this amount ebay page.
auction sniper interprets failed bid as invalid user/password.
auction sniper then puts warning - possible user/password problem on each of the snipes in my current list.
I finally decided to try this service, and figured, what can I lose with a free trial.
Registered successfully, entered snipe info.
See item ends 100.00 lower than the amount of my snipe. Message is invalid username/password.
Doesn't AS run a test login at eBay to check this registration information?

I was willing to assume I didn't enter it correctly (though that is very unlikely), but seeing some of the posts here, now I am wondering what is going on.

Does AS test this info when registering or periodically?
AS checks validity only when you change your ID and/or password at AS. It does NOT check it periodically.

If you changed your ID and/or Password at eBay, AS will not know this untill it attempts to place a bid for you.

Click on My Snipes tab
Click Modify Account
Enter password and verify
Click Update Account Information (at the bottom)
or
Hit Enter Key.

If invalid AS will tell you. (in red letters) If valid I believe you will be taken to the My Snipes page.

There is one other possibility --> >> Click Here << for that.

and WELCOME to the forum.

Perhaps I did not explain my query in enough detail. I did not change my ebay information.
I registered for auctionsniper. During registration, I provide my eBay information. Does auctionsniper verify the information at registration, or does it wait until a snipe is entered?
I know that everyone will swear they entered their data correctly, but when I went in to enter a snipe, I did look at the information provided, since I was curious about what would display, and find it hard to believe I could overlook a notice that my information was invalid.
So whether this is a technical glitch, a user interface issue, or a design issue, my first experience with this does not give me a lot of confidence in the system. And if I am going to have to constantly monitor it, it sort of defeats the whole purpose.
I went looking for information on how to cancel (to make sure my eBay information is no longer stored by AS), and couldn't find it. So, I figured I would just modify my account by setting a bogus password. Apparently AS does verify information against eBay when making a change, and wouldn't let me do it. So, I suspect that information WAS verified at initial registration, but something happened. So now I have a second question - how do I get my eBay information purged from the AS system?

Confused Once your information is correct there is NO need to monitor it. You will only need to make a change at AS if you have made a change at eBay.

Easiest thing to do is changed your eBay password.

If you want other information purged (like credit card info) file a support case and make the request. Click the Help tab, and then at the very bottom of the page click on http://support.auctionsniper.com/

After my initial problem with no snipe entered due to invalid username/password, I decided to give it another try. Since the My snipe page told me I had three free snipes left, so I figured, why not try again. Following the advice here, I modified the account information to MAKE SURE I had the correct ebay login info. I then planned to use the confirmation button to validate this before I did anything else. After making the modification, a page appears asking me to enter credit card information, since I had already had three successful snipes!
Now, I really don't care if I get any free snipes or not, but I am concerned that a system that will be holding my ebay username and password (not to mention credit card information) seems to have a number of glitches. This can't all just be me having a difficult time.
Not much confidence in this system.

Since I had been meaning to create a second user ID in order to keep my buying/selling separate, I figured I would start from scratch trying to get this AS thing straightened out. I remember with my unsuccessful snipe under the old ID there was a confirmation button. Now I can't find it. Was I hallucinating? is it hiding somewhere?

Where is the confirmation button?
This only shows up after the auction has ended.

To confirm ID and Password, go to eBay and Click on 'Watch this item'.
(a new item would be best)
Come back to AS and:
Click 'My Snipes'
Click 'Import Wizard'

If your watched item shows up, you should be set to go.

Ok. So once you've lost the snipe due to bad info you can easily confirm that you had bad info by clicking one button. Or you can jump through hoops to verify your info while there may actually still be time to correct it. Makes perfect sense.
