You might be better off having an auto glass dealership order a new one for you. The shipping charges for a windshield are pretty high because it's an oversized item and they need to use a really large box with lots of padding. I had a rear window shipped to me and it was too large to go UPS. The seller had to ship it as freight and the shipping alone was around $75. Used windshields often have scratches and pits. Unless you live near a junk yard and can go to see it and pick it up, I'd suggest having someone order a new one for you.
Thanks for the info, although I have searched every junk yard on the west coast and nothing. Also nothing available new that I can find, well actually I found one in Canada but the guy wanted $400 for the glass and as you said about $75 to ship. That seemed a little high. This is a vega that my friend has put in a hot rod chev small block that I've built for him and the only thing left to complete this project is the darn windshield. Thanks for your time I'll keep looking. Smile
The auto glass dealership ordered and got a windshield for my '66 Falcon twice (a mechanic broke the first one) and also got the windshield for a friend's husband's 1953 Buick. They told me that their supplier has the molds to make windshields for every model and they can order what's not in stock. You said you checked the west coast. I'm in Arizona. If you'd like, you can e-mail be through AS and I could check with the place that ordered my windshield to see if they'll give you the name of their supplier.
