using multiple sniping services...

Hi everyone:
This is a followup to the last discussion I posted....If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it.

There's an item I must have one ebay and I'm considering using multiple sniping services to try to win it. I'm worried that maybe AS's bid won't make it in time to ebay (using lead time of 6). Just to make sure that my bid gets in on time, I 'm thinking about using another sniping service at the same time (putting in the same max bid and same lead time as AS).

Would I be bidding against myself? Hypothetically speaking, if no one else bids on this in the last 10 seconds, would I be bidding up the final price???? what are the implications???

And does anyone have any suggestions for the other sniping service I should use in addition to AS?

No, especially if both bids are for the same amount. If they are not, the price MAY increase slightly, but only if the first bid is less than a full increment above the next to highest bidder. In that event eBay will increase the bid to one full increment.

AS assures us that the traffic problem is not so bad now with eBays latest upgrades, and at this time of year. Your snipe should get placed with no trouble. >Click<

If you're still worried about the 'Not In Time', increase your lead time a bit, and let AS do its thing. It's not the last bid that wins, it's the highest, and if you are the highest, others can see your bid, but don't know what your real max is. 10-12 seconds isn't much time to ponder.

The auction I'm interested in actually ends on the hour, this thursday....at 230 pm EST (or 11:30 AM PDT)....I was going to put in a lead time of 8 seconds, do you think that's too aggressive?

In the other email, Sara said that 10 seconds is fine on Sunday....so if this is on a weekday, do you think this would work or should I increase it?? I've never had an auction that ends exactly on the hour...

Please help me! I have to win this item!
