I noticed that a snip I have ready has not been updated for the past two days. It still shows the high bid at 9.99 when it has been 31.99 for two days. Is this normal?

Perfectly normal. AS doesn't update items regularly, particularly when there are days left to go in an auction. You can perform the update yourself by clicking on the little icon "Update items info" above the snipe listings on your main snipe page.
