I have gone through the Discussion Board and don't find a topic that covers the error message I am getting when I use Bidgroups. The error is "Unresolved Bidgroup Item" This error locks up the bidgroup (appropriately so), but I don't know why every snipe I have tried in a bid group is having a problem, even those I should have won if the bid had been placed. On those situations where I would have won the error message is not showing up until the the lead time expires.

Very frustrating. Grrr!

here's the reply i recieved...so be aware:

You have my apologies. I‘ve been working on engineering to get them to make this the priority it should be. It‘s not yet clear---to me anyway---whether this is due to a fix earlier this week that caused the problem or a change eBay recently made to their links that‘s causing the problem. However, it‘s one for us to fix. For today and this weekend, I‘ll have to suggest avoiding using bid groups. Sorry for your inconvenience.

Hi,
I am very new to auctionsniper and the concept of sniping.
But in 2 days have won an item I wanted at the right price using my first Bidgroup. Created a 2nd Bidgroup today for another item. First Bid was 2 low, but so far everything going smoothly.
Then an "Unresolved Bidgroup" fault prevented a bid on an item that went for an unbelievably low price. Well below my bid! This fault is not well explained on the site, so I came to the Forum, did a search and found this thread.

So the situation DOES NOT appear to be resolved by today 30 August 2005.

I have created another Bidgroup and logged a SUpport message, and am crossing my fingers and hoping.
Siighhhh,
I have had some response from support, and re-researched this forum, and looked again at my "Unresolved Bidgroup Item" issue.

After that I have not proved it, but I am suspecting, that if a snipe attempt is made, whether it is too low to actually make a bid, or it is outbid by proxy, it is taking up to or over 20 minutes for AS to resolve the outcome, so that they can enter the next snipe attempt.

Consequently, I propose that bidding groups need to be set up so as no bids ending closer than 30 minutes apart, are included. I have not tried, but another option may be to try to cancel the unsuccesful bid after the auction end but before AS has entered the true status.

The latter may well create system problems and not be a good idea.

The advice from others to transfer the remaining bids into another group would probably work successfully.

Just thought I'd pass the thought on.
I also got this message today. I tried to go in and increase my max bid because it was too low but it would not allow me to. I ended up going through the auction site and won it however, I then received an email from AS saying I won. I have sent an inquiry to AS Support and am hoping they will not charge me for winning the bid because AS did not do it.

Anyone else experience this??? If so, what did you do and what was the outcome?
Well, I see some others have had the same "Unresolved bid group" problem that I had today on two bidgroups.

Following through on Don&Yvonne and Mrs.M's exchange above ... I see in the faqbid that AS recommends at least 30sec between successive bidgroup snipes. Let's hear the creative solutions out there to avoid multiple bids on items that end very, very close to each other!

Related but not exactly the same issue ... Must some minimum time elapse between snipes that are NOT in the same bidgroup in order for the later one to fire successfully?

No minimum. Outside of the same bidgroup, there's no dependency on other auctions and each snipe is independent of the others. Snipes can be for multiple auctions with concurrent end times, even for snipes in different bidgroups.
I lost an auction that ended at 7:42pm. The Auction Sniper Snipe Status Report was emailed to me at 7:46pm.

One minute later, at 7:47pm, another auction in the same bidgroup came up, but my bid was cancelled due to the infamous Unresolved Bidgroup Item problem.

But AS certainly knew that the previous snipe had failed, because it had already sent the email! So why was the bidgroup still "unresolved"??

seriously ticks me off, as the item went for *well* under my max bid.

Apparently this problem still isn't resolved. I lost out on a bid about a month ago due to an "unresolved bidgroup" and was told it was because the auctions were too close together with 36 seconds apart. Ok...it would be nice it they posted this little known fact with the bidgroup directions. However, the minimum 30 second difference that support told me was necessary still doesn't help... happened to me again tonight with a one and a half minute difference and my max was well above the closing price. I'm really ticked! Why offer a service that doesn't work properly?? Isn't 3 months enought ime to fix this glitch? I'm off to find a new sniping company! Thanks for letting me vent.
Just had a several snipes fail due to "Unresolved Bidgroup Item". First time this was problem was when I tryed to move a snipe into bidgroup from defalt folder and it gave me message there was a "Unresolved Bidgroup Item" and that no bids would be placed until it was resolved. I deleted the bidgroup and created a new one but have stil had problems.
