I had a bid group set up and one snipe lost because of an outbid. Three other bids, originally 2 said Snipe placed, but when I checked, I lost to a lower bidder. When I came back and checked the bid group, it says unable to sign in.
That bites, these were the only widgets available that I could find.
Do I get free snipes for this?

Auction numbers? Need those to see what happened...

Were your bids at least one increment higher? They need to be to be placed...

Were you re-using a bid group? You shouldn't...

Is your CAPS lock on? It shouldn't be...

Can you log onto eBay OK? AS and eBay ID & Passwords need to be identical...

Free snipes? I doubt it (not that any of us work for AS) on the amount of info you've supplied...

Two of the auctions: 8199674706, 8199674697
Here is eBay's response:
Auction ended
Sorry, but the item is no longer available because the auction has ended.

No, beside it did try to bid on one, but my bid was too low, so I know it was set up correctly and I don't have any wins in that bidgroup

Caps lock where? I wasn't even on my computer

I've been using AS for years, everything is set up fine. In fact, other snipes were being done correctly.

I get fed up when AS screws up a bid. there are too many competitive programs I can use. This acution wasn't important, but AS did screw up on one that was a hard to find widget that I lost because they took too long to respond to the new confirmation screen that eBay put in place. As a goodwill gesture, the least they can do is reward long time, frequent users like me some free snipes when their program screws up.
I use (and pay for) AS a lot even when a snipe isn't particularly necessary, or when I am able to manually snipe, just because of the convenience. A few free snipes wouldn't hurt them in the least.
Well, personally,I would take a postive approach and ask. IF it is something AS did, maybe they will. I have gotten a lot of free snipes from AS for one thing or another. They have always been fair with me. However, if it is your goof-up or eBay's, that is a different matter, of course.

Just for clarification – the above could sound like Serenity has gotten “a lot of free snipes” because AS has messed up her snipes. Serenity has said in the past that any lost snipes were due to not having a high enough bid price. Didn’t mean to step on any toes, if I did.

Like R2 said, none of us are employees. You'll need to check with AS.

Sorry Dark Frog if this seems a simplistic solution, but if you take ebay's response at face valuet, then the route suggested in Serenity's first reply was the correct one.

As far as I can see the bulk of the "to & froings" of the above emails only confuse a simple issue.

AS placed the bids, but for some reason (internet traffic?) ebay didn't receive them.

File a complaint with support and await the outcome. As Serenity says, you may get a refund!
The ending times for the two auctions listed are only 3 seconds apart. Don't know what the other auction ending time was, but this is too close for AS to place the bid, get a response from eBay and then try to figure out if AS should place the next bid in a bidgroup. I try to make sure that my bidgroup items end with at least 1 minute between them.
Another great idea by R2
After all, if AS can automatically tell us "thats being sniped already" (shows the state of my mind!) and "bid too low" it can just have a simple "too small a time interval" warning.

P.S. Everybody Note: No Quotes

P.P.S R2 - just put the cheque in the post, a £10 will cover it. More flattering endorsements - scale charges apply.
