Hi guys,

I've just registered with AuctionSnipe to try to win an auction that ends at 13:00 BST on UK Ebay.

My problem is that I don't know what timezone to set my preferences to in AuctionSnipe. I've tried UTC -00:00 as this says for GMT but then when I import my Watches, it doesn't show 13:00 as the end time for the auction.

Please can you let me know what timezone to set in my preferences?

Thanks

Katie, or Sam,

It appears to be a bug on “My Watches”, because “My Snipes” displays the correct time. The “My Watches” option has been around for a good amount of time, and the fact that it hasn’t been reported, or fixed, may be a reflection of the popularity of “My Watches”, at least with the Brits, who are noted for being precise. My opinion is that you would be better off watching the auction(s) thru ebay - you don’t have to worry about 3rd party problems, AND you don’t have to click on “Update Prices” to insure you see the current price and number of bids. About the only argument for using AS’s “My Watches” is that unlike ebay, you don’t have to sign-on every day.

But, if you feel there’s some benefit to using AS’s “My Watches”, and if you feel it’s important that the auction ending time appears in your time zone, then probably best to file a support request:
