Somebody please tell me why I win two auctions from a bid group? I sniped approximately 7 KVM switches for my computer placed them in a group, and end up winning 1 on the 17th which I was happy to win, but now the 18th I get notice that I have won another from the list I had placed in the group. I now have to pay for 2 and only need 1, this is very upsetting, I have never had this happen before.

Thanks

First of all, Hello, and WELCOME to the forum.

Go to 'My Snipes' page. Over on the right, next to 'Folders' click on the 'Manage' button. On the right side click on 'update' for the folder in question. You (probably) have more than 1 in the 'quantity to win' box or do not have the 'This is a bid group' box checked.

Not all folders are bidgroup folders. If it is not designated as being a 'bidgroup' AS will bid on all items in the folder.

If neither of the above is true, Sara will have to look at it for you. Your other option is to go to http://support.auctionsniper.com/

You arent using bid groups correctly.

You set the big group up to win 20 items. Then you keep putting different types of items in there and reusing it.

You dont need a bid group for that. You can use just a normal folder. But you dont even need a normal folder, you can just use our default which puts them in your "My Snipes" folder.

Then when you set up a bid group you should set it up to only win 1 item. And you should not reuse them. Set up 1 bid group for each distinct item you are trying to win, that you plan on bidding on multiple auctions to win it.

Please review the Bid Group Tutorial. It's short and has pictures explaining:

I'm just glad this is the first time it's happend for you.

Also you can try contacting the second seller to explain things and maybe with a token payment that would be enough to handle their eBay fees you can get out of the purchase.

Bid groups are a good thing for sellers I believe because they let you bid on a whole bunch of sellers items rather than just one sellers. Thus you will eventually win from some seller. A lot of buyers just give up when they cant win and dont purchase from any of the sellers.
