At the top of eBay's home page there's an icon that says "Search". Clicking on that gives you a page with a menu of things to search for. One of these is "By Bidder". Click on that and on the resulting page enter the username or e-mail address of the bidder you want to track in the window provided for that purpose. Be sure to click the little indicator that lets you include closed auctions. It's up to you whether you also click the little indicator that limits your search to winning bids only. I like to see all bids if I'm researching another bidder. That's how you "track" another bidder.
If you're really, really into sniping you want to know everything you can learn about your competition. If you track someone who's bid against you, you can learn a lot about his spending limits and bidding habits (Is he also a sniper? What's his time frame for bids? Does he knee-jerk and counterbid every time someone tops his bid or does he wait 'til the end?). This kind of information enables you to plan the timing, and more importantly the amount, of your snipe bid. Next question? Wink
Ebay's life teaches you - didn't need too much time to figure out that the more you bid - more money you will pay. Most people try to outbid every one who outbid them right away.... I personaly don't even bid until the last second...Especialy now with AS - why increase the price??? If I really need the item - I bid only on the last seconds...usually with my luck - if I bid - I get outbid right the next minute. So, after losing a couple of auctions - I got smart - I don't bid and wait for the auction to end! And then...I JUST WIN! Smile
