Ye gods, another one! Hey, Chris, do us all a favor by searching the forum archives for similar situations before you come on here p*ssing and moaning about a bid that wasn't placed. How do you know it wasn't placed? Did you get a message saying so when you checked eBay's response? Do you even know how to check eBay's response? Do you know where the forum archives can be found? (Hint: look at the top of this page.)

First off, I know when an auction bid isn't placed. check auction 3400272549 and look at the bid history. I'm not there, ergo, no email from ebay, yet AS sends me a confirm the bid is placed. Http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3400272549 Check it, smart guy.

Oh, and yes, I did look at the forums, and I have noticed that your name pops up quite frequently and you seem to dump on people in their posts whenever someone complains. I smell a rat, or shall I say a mole, and I think you are without a doubt on the AS payroll.

Enough about you being a troll and a shill for AS and its service for a moment, and ill put aside your petty attacks that have all the form and substance, and class of a Jerry Springer guest.

Back to what started my post: My complaint is legitimate. AS failed to meet promised levels of service, and I'm making my feelings known about it, and I hope the message gets out that there IS a problem with the AS service that needs to be fixed, but is being swept under the rug by people like you that are quick to blame the user and slow to look at the real problem.

(Oh, and Steve, save yourself the time proofreading my criticism of AS for spelling errors, it would be so typical of behavior that I would expect as response from a troll like you.)

Chris, eBay error. You can click the confirmation link for the 2 snipes missed and see them. Here is one:

Also you'll notice that one of the 3 snipes did go through and your bid wasnt high enough. All 3 snipes were at EXACTLY the same time. I'm sure we sent all 3 if we sent the one, our system is operating perfectly. If eBay cant handle it and eats it like that there isn't anything we can do.

Whose turn is it to "eat it" now, Chris Baby? Of course, I don't expect an apology or even an admission of error from someone who's "smarter than the average bear" -- but not much.

This must have been one VERY important auction. It's wonderful to live in an age and in a society that someone would get "fuming mad" about something as important as not being top bid on "8 Dsktop CPU's / 5 PIII and 3 AMD", instead of something trivial like starvation.

This coute is correct, you have no idea how many snipes we place... The few one people miss, and the fewer ones people post about here, don't even make a 1% of our total snipes...

So, if you don't have the complete information, please don't accuse us of not telling the thruth.

It's neither unusual nor surprising, Sir, that one or more failed to be registered by eBay, Sir. But then, you don't want to hear such things, isn't that right, Sir?

Did you check the bid comfirmation link I gave you? That is the reply our service got when placing your snipe.

I know you're pissed, but just read the confirmation, and understand we sent your snipe, eBay's system choked, not ours, and that confirmation shows that. You certainly *might* have won if eBays systems had let your bid through instead of giving an error. Of course the other bidders high bid still might have been even higher than yours and they could have won anways. No way to tell now. What we can tell is that eBay gave an error message when we placed your bid.
