Hi All,

I was led to believe that Auction Sniper was 'just part of a suite of programs' desinged to help bidding. Trouble is I can't find the rest. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

In particular I'm looking for a program that will mail me as soon as a particular item comes up for auction.

Thanks,

Gotta say I'm confused here!!!

My thanks went to someone (Puppy?) who told me that Ebay had the facility to do what I wanted but the message I was referring to has vanished!!

Anyway, despite having 3 searches active on Ebay the darn things have failed to report anything though new items have appeared when I run them individually.

YES, I did ask for email reports too!

Whole thing is like a basket of dead flowers,

meditek :-(
I (personally) don't want all that mail, and use eBay searches.

Basket of dead flowers? I (again personally) don't think so. AS does everything I ask it to. It bids for me in the middle of the night, or while I'm not home. Check out bid groups, that alone makes it worth it.

Some might say eBay is junk, because it doesn't let you schedule bids! Scheduling bids would be nice, but missing that doesn't destroy what eBay DOES have, so I wouldn't agree with them either.

I think AS is great !... but that's just me.

ps I think eBays email search results only run once a day.

Bartles you have info I'd appreciate.
First, apologies to my ancestors for sending you guys down there to Aussieland 'cos I know it's tough living inverted. (OK , this is a Clinton Pretzel..loada crap with nothing in it..)

Second, you could hit me with what I want (you suggested you got it) by emailing me at meditek@ij.net with details of the full deal.

thanks,

Did you know you can find items on eBay that a search (even on eBay) can't find? See an auction up to several hours before anyone else?

It's kind of a pain in the backside, but if you are interested, I can tell you how. ( This only works if you know who the seller is going to be )

Go to one of their auctions and click on 'View sellers other items.' This will bring up ALL their auctions. The index job for doing a search runs only every few hours on eBay. Viewing other items allow you to see items not indexed yet. Running a search every 10 minuits is a waste of time and gets you nothing.
