Manual bidding just became obsolete. Got the exact bike i wanted, saved 200$ and hours of frustration with manual bidding. Muhahahaha!

Seems to me we're hearing more and more of 'em, and the complaints about snipes not being placed, etc. are toned 'way down from the epithet-filled gripes we used to get.

You're right.
Here's the good news: I don't think that's due to changes at AS. I think it's due to ebay adding hardware. I've noticed ebay being quicker on all kinds of things since the 1st couple of months of this year. With ebay improving response time, auctions that ended on Sunday nights aren't the problem they use to be. ebay's computers are doing a better job of keeping up with the load. That helps AS to do it's thing.
It just goes to prove that AS wasn't having problems, but that ebay was.
