I just won my item!I was really sweating over this one, afraid something would go wrong, but like clockwork my bid came in 2 seconds before the auction closed.
I set my lead for 8 seconds. I'm in awe, especially considering how 6 more bids came in during the last 20 seconds of the auction.
I could never have won this item without using A S. I actually feel kind of guilty b/c this snipe was free! I'll use this for everything I bid on from now on. Today is my birthday, what a great birthday present, Thanks! Smile

Few people use a lead time of 2 seconds - way too risky - 8 is the norm on this forum with more at peak times. Remember, it's not the last bid but the highest that wins under eBay's proxy bidding system.

Hi,
It is a little unusual for your bid to be placed 6 seconds after the time you asked for. Perhaps there was a slight problem with the network, which may have helped your win. My experience is that auction sniper tends to play safe and place a bid 1 or 2 seconds before the time you asked for.

I have just had a near miss because I was outbid by a bid arriving in the last second! That was reckless timing by the other bidder. A tiny glitch could have left me as high bidder.
