1. crick, rick, wrick -- (a painful muscle spasm especially in the neck or back (`rick' and `wrick' are British))
2. haystack, hayrick, rick -- (a stack of hay)

I'm going for No 1 - a pain in the neck! Or perhaps there should be a No. 3:
3. rick -- pedant, hair splitter ? Wink

When I used "British Island" I was using a term never used here - it was a sort of ironic description for those ex-Colonials who might be unsure of where the UK is and what form it takes.

As for Britannic, it's a name but it isn't normally used to describe the UK or its inhabitants!

Scotland Yard was, apparently, named after a yard called Scotland Yard, that was in England and not in Scotland. Maybe, at one time, some Scottish people hung 'round there and that's how it got its name. No doubt Rick will have that researched for us before Xmas... Big Grin
