Hi, my name is Ebay addict. I have a continually rising mound of packing peanuts, styrofoam and bubble wrap overtaking my home!

To the other addicts - what do you do with the packing material from auctions you have won? Do you hide it in the trash? Bag it up and take it to Mailboxes Etc.? Melt it into decorative baubles? Or do you commit a room to holding it, pretend it's gold and you're the richest person on earth?

I need a solution before I can no longer find the exits from my home!

Actually, it is smaller than it sounds. It was built in 1910. I love the high ceilings. I've been able to put up all the chandaliers I had, plus some great new ones. It is long yet only 22'wide. I love the old pocket doors off of the LR. Plus, we could afford it, and it is near the lake, yet in the middle of town. My other half paints the room, then I do the designing, stencils, etc. We have made the second bedroom into a guest/office room (where I am at now).
We just work at it a little at a time, and love it.
Oops, I have a bird to baste. Later...

There isn't much that's good to be said about any form of plastic packaging, but at least the peanuts are imminently recyclable; you can use them again and again and again. Shredded paper can be composted, so it's not a great problem.

I take the peanuts to work. I work in a small warehouse from where I despatch a variety of items every day. Some, like CD jewel cases, are fragile and we can't afford to purchase large amounts of packing materials, so I recycle as much as possible. All incoming plastic wrapping, shrinkwrap and even the vile pallet-wrap are screwed up to fill holes in outgoing parcels.

The very last place i'd put them is the garbage.
