Suggestion: Comments field on Snipe It Now!

Hi all. I just won my first auction with this great tool and am finding a ton of uses for it already. This is just the thing I've been looking for. I do a lot of bargain hunting and now I don't have to watch a ton of auctions to see if they are worth investing in and then babysit the good ones through the last ten minutes. Now I can just set up a snipe at my target price and go back to other things. It's great!

On thing that I'd like to see is the comments field accessable from the "Snipe It Now!" link. A lot of the items I bid on are for reselling and I make notes to myself about why I'm bidding on them. This especially helps out four days later when I look down my snipe list and can't remember why I'm bidding on half the stuff on it.

Right now it's pretty clunky opening up the snipe list to add comments everytime I set up a snipe. It's be great if I could do it all in one step.

Good news.

We already have this feature.

You need to check the "Remember me" box when signing in.

Then when you use the Snipe it now feature the comments box will be there. As will a box that lets you select a bid group or folder which isnt there unless you are signed in.

I also hadn't enabled it in the account preferences page which is why it wasn't working.

Related question: Is there any way to tell if you have a Snipe set upfor an auction while you're looking at it. If I use the Snipe It Now link, it tries to let me set up a new Snipe and doesn't tell me there's already one ready.

Oh good catch. I completely forgot about the preferences.

I believe we have it off to start to make the site easier to use for beginners. Then in enables after you've won a few snipes.

Theres no way to tell, but we wont let you enter a duplicate snipe. It will tell you there is already a snipe for that item when you try to submit the snipe again.

TriggerSqueeze: You may want to just add the AuctionSnipe to your Links toolbar, then you can check your snipes while you're on the auction site page. I do this all the time .... Szn
