Strangest Place

New Zealand is about as strange as it gets for me - they're a weird mob!

I won't sell to anywhere south of the USA border or the Mediterranean sea, or east of Germany, on principle.

I nearly did buy from Khazakstan once and have bought from Belarus.

I've only ever bought from USA. I've sold/shipped to Canada, Great Britain, France, Italy, & Australia. My listings indicate I ship only to USA, Canada, Europe, & Australia. I also block bidders not from those countries.

When I sold scooter parts, I sold to Asian countries a lot. I have sold all over Europe and Australia. I have never sold to anywhere in Africa.

Khazakstan seller insisted on US$, concealed in a tin under registered post. I politely declined to do business.

Belarus is part of Russia - the city was Minsk. The item was a Manowar CD. The package came wrapped in heavy brown recycled paper tied with rough string and sealed with wax! I kid you not!

I've bought from RUS, AU, NZ, Sing, GB, and even Texas! I'm addicted to snipe and use it primarily. I still have to forward the website to f&f for the free snipes.

By your ID, my intuition tells me you’re a guy that likes to snipe instead of a married gal that likes to nipe (and not married to a Mr. Nipe with a household of little Nipes).

Mrsnipe, I'm not sure that Texas counts as another country, regardless of what the people there might think.

I'm strictly a buyer, and the only places outside the US that I've bought from are (from most to least) the UK, Canada, Australia, and Belgium. How strange they are probably depends on your point of view.

Texas *does* qualify as a “place”. Can’t comment about its/their degree of strangeness. Places might be described as exotic. It takes people to provide the strangeness.

mrsnipe’s avatar causes me to think he’s made a funny. Texas is a pretty big place after all.

By mistake, I bought an ink well and dip pen from a person in Sofia, Bulgaria. A mistake only in that I failed to notice the address was foreign. Not a mistake in that communication was excellent, items were described accurately, timely shipment, accepted Paypal, well packaged....in fact, everything went extremely well.....which is more than I can say for some of my purchases in Florida and New York. Texas is by far the best....everyone is honorable!

Oh no, DipPenMan, I just moved from Florida...I do hope I am more honorable now that I live in NC!!

Ebay buyers & sellers may be honorable but don't ever get a speeding ticket there. The judge returned my check and requested cash or a money order. He got neither.

I haven't been back and don't plan on it. Besides, like I've always said, Texas is God's country, no one would want it except God.
