Since I signed up with AuctionSniper a couple of months ago, I have had no problems, misplaced bids or error messages. Until now.

Today I checked the 'My eBay' page and noticed that AS had successfully placed a bid on an auction last night, which resulted in me winning the item.

However, when I then logged on to my email account, I saw that I had an automated message from AuctionSniper with the following content:

Status Summary: Not In Time
Your snipe could not be placed because of the reason above
Click here to see eBay's response to your snipe.

When I tied to click on the link to see eBay's response (as I have mentioned on another thread) it took me to a blank page with the AS menu at the top.

How is it I received an email from AS, telling me that the bid had not been placed in time, when in actual fact it HAD been placed (10 seconds from the end) and thankfully won the auction in question??! Eek

Can any of the AS support staff give me some kind of explanation for this freak occurance? Is it a common problem or something completely new bug in the software? I'm afraid that next time it happens it could make me loose the auction that I was trying to bid on.

Thanks in advance.

On item 715865428 I received a message from AS "Bid Too Low--Your snipe could not be placed," yet eBay notified me that I won the auction. I'd certainly rather have this type of error than the reverse, but it is something to be addressed.

It used to be that on the "my snipes" page, I could see all my snipes, both successful and not. After this summer's changes, now I can only see my sucessful snipes. This makes tracking such errors more difficult, at least for me.
