How are you assured you're NOT sniping yourself? What happens if you've already bid on an item, you utilize AuctionSniper "In Advance" to make sure the item stays yours, and then Nobody else bids against you, "or" there IS another bidder, but that bidder stops short of your maximum? Will "MY-AuctionSniper-bid" automatically take hold and actually bid up my original eBay maximum bid unknowingly, "OR" does the software recognize "high bidder names," see the bidder is ME (one in the same), and NOT initiate AuctionSniper? Bet you get Newbie questions like this upfront all the time, huh? Thanks in advance for everyone's response.

It wouldn't matter if you did "snipe yourself." It would cost you a snipe fee to AS, but that's all. If nobody else bid, your original bid would be enough to win. Your second bid through AS wouldn't change a thing, and you'd still only pay the seller the original amount (plus shipping, of course). EBay sees to it that you don't "bid yourself up." AS just enters the bid you programmed, regardless.
Steve.....You've posted 254 times..and 254 are available....I've posted 61 times and 56 are available... Eek Yes...A.S. support is in control of edit/closing/deleting posts...Ain't that right Sara ??? I still remember the posts by Marilyn..and the replies by A.S.support that were so rude !!! And then whisked away to "DeleteLand"..I expect this reply post to be deleted ...Adam, sure do miss you............
Well hey, granitz, it's not like I'm writing deathless prose or anything. I guess I've repeated myself a couple dozen times on common issues raised by new snipers...no need to keep all of those answers, is there? And I can understand it if the AS staff wants to delete obscene posts or flame wars, too. Who needs that crud lying around? I have no bones to pick with the AS staff...overall, they're doing a good job and I for one appreciate it.
I agree with you when it comes to deleting obscene posts...and repeative replies to newbies..and flame wars...I have used AuctionSniper.com since 11/01 and overall the site is well worth the inexpensive fees...As far as A.S. Support....Adam R was great and Sofia is very nice & helpful......Nuff said !!!
