Sniping and Losing ALSO sniping and winning

If you snipe and lose do you still have to pay for the snipe. Also, I won my first auction sniping and the seller congratulated me on my snipe saying " I've never heard of AuctionSniper". I htought that no one but me would know I was using a sniper site. What's up with that?

There is a sample email at http://www.auctionsniper.com/instamailsample.aspx - I guess it adds in an AS advert as well...

Top Tip - turn it off by going to My Snipes | Modify Account then you won't be letting the seller know how you won. Unless you want to...
