I've had several bad experiences with Snipes not being placed recently.

I've been using "Snipe it now", and after having several bids not placed in time using the default 10 second lead time I started bumping it up to 15 seconds. I still had "not in time" snipes (item #2725151302) but current status indicates that lead time was 10 seconds.

I've just entered a bunch of new snipes using Snipe it now and setting the lead time to 25 seconds. Current status for all of these indicate 10 second lead time - the lead time does not seem to be getting set correctly using "Snipe it now". I have to modify each snipe after being placed to add lead time.

I've received e-mail notifcation that a snipe was not successful because item status was "ready". Current item status for this item# 2725112896 is "did not win" - what's that mean?
Also, item# 2725129514, snipe was never placed, no notification and status still indicated "ready" several hours after auction closed!

Those 28 snipes are all on the hour or half hour.

Snipes exactly on the hour and half hour need 20 second lead times at least. We've done well to hit 21 of 28 in time. This has been mentioned dozens of times here now.

The seller in those auctions uses eBays pay feature that lets them schedule their auctions. Lots of sellers choose to have thier auctions start at exactly 5pm 6pm 7pm because those are the best times.

What that causes is overloads at eBays as many times the normal # of users swarm eBays at exactly those times to bid and check to see if they won. The end result is eBay is really slow and and bids need more than 10 seconds or they wont get placed on time because it's taking eBay longer to process them.
