I was wondering what others success rate was for Sniping. Like in Baseball 33% is good. I'm not sure how I compare with my success rate. so far I am batting about 33% for wins I am a new user so I would hope that would increase.

But the question is whether or not the snipe was placed. If it was and your bid was not high enough, then that is a different matter!
Iv'e had 100% on the snipes I have placed and left on to the end. On occasion, I have changed my mind and canceled out a snipe. At any rate, it beats hand placing ..for one, you can't change your mind! 
The biggest thing to remember I have found is to:Decide exactly the higest amount of $ you will pay for that item. Bid that on the AS. Then just decide that if someone wants to pay more, at least I did not over pay. Another one of those things will show up again.
Also, If I really want something. I will research on Ebay that item's past sales price. I will also check on the open web for that items retail price. Then I will know what the max I will pay for it.
Also, I agree with Mrs. M. The ability to cancel your bid if you find something better is worth its weight.
Not just the ability to cancel your bid, but the ability to CHANGE your bid is worth its weight.. the best option to use if you decide you want the item even more than before
So I guess I am not really that bad off after all since I lost the snipe due to my maximum was not as high as the winning bid. I guess you really can't have a snipe success rate percentage only number of successful snipes. It still would be nice to have a sniper rating based on successful snipes placed.
