I just witnessed an odd occurance - I was al set to snipe Item number: 2771010158 - Wacom ArtZ II Graphics Tablet, and received and Out Bid notice with several mins left. No Problem, I reset my snipe amount. I had the ebay window open next to AS. the same high bidder's bid increased, so I repeated, and the same thing happened. I lost the bid, but has anyone seen this before. it was like he detected my snipe increase?? hmmmmmmm?

Without looking the item up, it just sounds like that bidder had a much higher max proxy bid on file with ebay. That is why, so many times in these forums, you will see us say. Just bid your very max the first time on AS. Then sit back and relax. If you keep trying to rise the bid, you might as well try to do that yourself. The reason for AS is to place your max bid at one time. If someone else out bids you, by snip or ebay proxy, you will know they overpaid for it. I know of no sniper sniffer software out there. Perhaps someone with more vision does, but I doubt it. Cool

On Dec 11th at 15:00:16 jodaddy2 placed a proxy bid for $41 (or more)
pinky-joe’s bid of $25 made the current price $26

This is where you came in to watch the auction.

wesleyrox placed a bid of $32 at 15:44:19 ... that put the current price at $33 with jodaddy still in the lead, and that was the first jump in price you saw.

wesleyrox saw his $32 wasn’t high enough so he went for $40 at 15:46:54 raising the current price to $41, and that was the second jump in price.

You kept getting outbid by jodaddy2, but the jumps in prices you saw were caused by wesleyrox.!

Don't bid what you think or hope might be enough, bid what you are willing to pay. Bid your maximum. That means if you are outbid, you are not willing to bid more, or change your mind. That's really the hardest part about using AS as it was designed to be used.

Yup, like I always tell my friends who ask me about my eBay stuff and how they can do it, it's very simple: just bid the maximum you'll ever be willing to pay for an item and then fuggedaboudit. Same principle as walking into a casino with $100 and no other way to get cash (not that I would ever waste money on a casino). Bring the amount you're willing to spend and then resign yourself to the roll of the cards. (I love mixed metaphors).

AuctionSniper makes eBaying a delight, not a job. As I have said before, to all you AuctionSnipers, "Shhhhhh! Don't tell a soul."

Every day above ground is a GOOD day
