Sniper's shipping insurance

since sniper's insurance partner, covers shipping insurance up to $1000.

so does that include shipping or no of the item bought?
example: if I bought an item for $990(excluding shipping), but the total is $1040(including shipping) so will the shipping insurance cover this item or not?

Yes – your shipping charges are included in the item total to insure.

most decent-speed shipping includes shipping insurance. So my feeling is that this shipping insurance is worth it only if you're totally not in a hurry to obtain what you won & it comes from either Canada or the US.

It is a *little* deceptive in that the link remains present even if you just won something located in Japan, for which the shipping insurance is not valid. (too bad, cos SAL costs alot less than EMS...)

any opinions?
