Snipe Now and Lead Times

When engaging the Snipe It Now from my IE Links bar I cannot change the default lead time of 5 seconds to my prefered shorter time. Entering the AS site I can successfully change this however. I have twice created a support case but each time the link addressing this concern does not allow access to the "answer". Any thoughts? Moderators---where are you????

Hmmm - why would you want to choose a time less than 5 seconds? AS automatically will increase the time if the 'system' is busy but by shortening the time you are increasing the chance of your bid not being placed.

I use 8 seconds and I have never not had a bid placed.
