Snipe not (?) showing on "My Snipes"

It's a while since I sniped and I've forgotten how it works.

I've set up (I think.) a Snipe in two days time. Current price/bid for the item is 62.09 and next increment is 64.09. I set a Snip at a Max. of 70.09.

On "My Snipes" only the 64.09 is showing yet when I try to increase that to 70.09 I'm told i already have a Snipe.

Does "My Snipes" only record the amount neccesary to win/ I thought it recorded somewhere what I was sprepared to bid ?

Check it again. The my snipes page lists (in large numbers) the maximum snupe amount you entered. Immediately below that (in small numbers) is the current high bid. You may wish to click on the small UPDATE icon above your snipes, so that the most current bid prices are shown.

Is $70.09 the absolute max you are prepared to pay. With the auction only a few dollars away, I would consider it unlikely that you will win with that amount. If that truly is the most you are willing to pay, then you are OK. But if you would be willing to pay more, be sure you bid it, especially with the current high bid so close to your snipe amount.
