It was placed. The computers that check to see if you won or not are behind and so the status hasnt changed from "Ready" to whether you won or not.

In fact this is such a common misconception we just changed our code. Now when a snipe is placed the status changes from "Ready" to "Snipe Placed." Then when the program that checks the auction to see if you won or lost or not finds out it changes the status from "Snipe Placed" to the final status such as "You Won" or "Bid too low" etc.
I went and got my two free credits, since my default is 8 seconds.

You might consider listing an explanation for "Did not win" in your Status messages FAQ, since you choose to use it, as in my case, when eBay does not record the snipe that AS has sent. (From three different locations, no less!)

Or you might consider changing it to "Snipe not received by eBay" instead. This would be helpful, I think. Or "Snipe sent, eBay choked" Smile
