Snipe not placed???

I'm skipping your poll question, but I will tell you my experience when this happens. eBay was experiencing system difficulties and the time delay caused my snipe to not post in time. It usually happens on a Sunday. I go to AS.com-freeSnipes.aspx and put in the Item number to get my FREE Snipes. As long as my original snipe was 5 seconds lead or longer, AS gives me 2 FREE Snipes. I get the credit immediately. I know it's not the same as winning the item I wanted, but AS makes no money when I lose and to compensate me for the snipe not being placed, AS gives me the FREE Snipes. So go get yours.

The same thing happened to me. For about two hours this morning, I was unable to reach the AS web site. I checked ebay and found that an item I was sniping sold for a lot less than my snipe bid. When AS finally allowed me in, my snipe was still listed as Ready, even though the auction was long gone. No snipe was placed, no snipe report issued.
Yet another reminder that computers are not necessarily our friends.
It would be nice if there were some kind of posting from AS explaining this, now that it seems possible that the problem was widespread. I can find no reference to it anywhere other than in this previous message.
