Snipe not made

I placed a snipe for an article on ebay. It wasn't made. The email that came back to me said it wasn't placed because of the reason given above. The reason given above was "Ready". I clicked on the link for ebays comments on why the snipe wasn't placed and it took me to my snipe page. I checked my account and it is well in credit. Why didn't my snipe happen? Hope you can help as I have other very important snipes to make and don't want the same thing happening to them.

Nigel, there can be several reasons for which the snipe wasn't placed. For the first one, please see Sara's note in the Auction Sniper News section of this Forum. If your snipe was set during the time interval mentioned in that note, you have your reason. (The time interval is in US Pacific Daylight Time.) Or, if you had the snipe in a bid group folder from which one auction had already been won, that could be the reason. Or the auction may have ended exactly on the hour or half-hour, when eBay characteristically is so busy that last-second bids pile up and not all of them are registered in time. It would be helpful to have the item number so that AS can check it out.
