Snipe it Now! --PROBLEMS....

I was using the Snipe It Now last night with no problem.

Have you ever used it successfully, or has it never worked?

I really don't know much about this stuff, but when things go wonky on me I try re-insalling the program. Maybe delete the link and try copying it in again?

That's the extent of my very very limited technical expertise! lol

I don't use "Snipe It Now" so am at a loss, but it does sound to me as though AS may be having problems with the feature. Suggest you file a support claim with AS at http://support.auctionsniper.com/. Good luck!

33. How come when I click on Snipe It Now nothing happens?

You may have a product like Pop Up Stopper that prevents pop-up windows…which is what the snipe window is.

My Norton Firewall has some anti popup and anti bannder software included. By pushing the Ctrl key when clicking Snipe It Now, everything works fine.

Yes, that firewall will blocks lots of things..good and bad.

I am another victim to Snipe it Now not working I put 2 snipes on yesterday and have already lost one and I cant remember what the other one was (LOL New Mummy Mush Brain again)

I just get the bid history and I didnt even get a mention.

Oh well, I will just wait around again, makes me doubt AS a little.

It may have nothing to do with Snipe-It. It may have something to do with something else. If Snipe-It put it on your "My Snipes", then something else is going on. Would you be willing to supply auction #, lead time, and bid amount?

It's definitely a Popup Blocker and not a problem with a particular item - the clue was in the change to the pointer!

Google's new Toolbar (version 2) automatically stops Popups on a site unless you click on the toolbar so that it says "Site popups allowed" once you're on eBay.

Top Tip

You can reset the pop-up blocker's count by holding down ALT + Shift and clicking on the pop-up blocker button.

Take a look in your history - has the item moved there (ie. is the auction over)?

Or did you stick it into an already used Bid Group in which case it will just sit there doing nothing.

If 'Snipe it now!' recorded it then it must have gone somewhere - see if you can find it. Once you know where it ended up then the problem can (hopefully) be solved!

I have no problem supplying the item number etc, but I dont show up anywhere. I think either Snipe it Now or more than likely my pute glitched and ditched my desire to win this widget.

I used Snipe it now this morning and I double checked and triple checked that the snipe is *ready* in my snipes folder and its there and waiting. I will watch this one like a hawk!!

Thanks for the help guys, hopefully this one will go off without a hitch.

I'll keep my finger crossed for you. I have not had a problem with snipe it now so far.
