Snipe it now

I placed the "Snipe it now" in my links toolbar, but when I hit it, I only get a pop sound and no " Snipe it now " box. I deleted it and then reinstalled but to no avail.I'm pretty sure my cookies and java scripting are turned on but maybe I'm missing something. Thanks for any help because this feature would be tremendously usefull to me.
