There were more than normal tonight for not in times. From what I can tell this might have been the busiest day on eBay yet. Certainly it was for this year.
I knew when a bid at 12:15:00 PM with a 3 second lead didnt make it that today was going to be a slow day on eBay. It was a quarter hour bid, and only 3 second lead, but it's bad when quarter hours start acting slow on eBay that early in the day.

Strange, it was early too at around 12pm. I saw another snipe at 12:15pm with a 3 second lead that wasnt in time. eBay musta just been slow around then.
I was successful w/ 7sec lead time at about 9pm CST,
Not happy here.....after finally getting my sister set up on ebay and auctionsniper.com her first auction/sniper experience was bad news.
Snipe didn't even bother to go off for this car on ebay. What a waste of time. We contacted the owner, we drove out to see it, did our homework. I told her not to worry it would work and told her the car was as good as hers! Should have covered all the bases and manually entered a bid too! Wish this would have happened to me and not her. She lost a good deal on a 1994 Mercedes E320 Item number: 2454645695

Yet another snipe ended at 07:00:00pm. We recommend 30 second lead times for such snipes.
eBay is jam packed with sellers using their scheduling feature to end auctions exactly then and they get clogged.
Believe me we earn $5 on a car snipe, the last thing we want is for you to lose that item!

I had six auctions end yesterday afternoon and evening, all set with 18 seconds lead time, and AS delivered on every one! Their reliability is awesome!
Thanks for the tips on adding extra time to snipes during certain busy periods. I've had lots of sucessfully placed snipes using 5 seconds at all times, this was the first time my snipe didn't go through on time. Live and learn.
You know, I'm guilty of never looking at the exact time an auction ends. Maybe I should start!! But even more important, as a seller I will try not to have any auctions end at an exact time. You loose bids that way! Thanks for the tip.
It was SO busy on eBay because it was my birthday and people all over the world were buying me presents......
